OCEAN PLASTIC took the title of best film

Gran Prix for best performance at the festival received the film "Plastic ocean" by director Craig Lisonne, co-produced by Great Britain and Hong Kong. The international film company Mustafa Mustafic, the director from BiH, Vesna Radunovic, producer from the USA and Danijel Pavlic, director from Croatia, have unanimously decided to award the best film award "Ekologija" to the Macedonian film "Apple Lake" in directed by Ljuba Stefanova and Tamara Kotevska.

The second place came from the Pakistani film "Pangolini in danger", directed by Muhammad Ali Ijaz, while the third place was taken by the English film "Green is great" by the director Ketrin Dusen. The Special Jury Award for Global Acquisition and Outstanding Production was awarded to the film "Before the Flood" by Fisher Stevens from the United States.

Prizes in the festival category "Ecology of the soul" were judged by Gojko Kastratovic, film and tv director, Maja Bogojevic, film critic and theorist and Sara Radovic, producer. In this category, triumphs were performed by "Beška", the director Nedžad Begović from Sarajevo. The second place went to the movie "Tok" by actor Milivoje Miš Obradović, while the third prize went to the Croatian film "Mom, why are you crying", directed by Vladimire Spindler.

Special jury award for an authentic view of nature and people of Montenegro was given to the film "Montenegro Unlimited Discovery of the World" directed by Kornelija Šulc. The best achievements in the category "Tourist-promotional films" were decided by the jury of the Faculty of Arts with UDG and decided to award the best film award to the "Alpine sense of life", directed by John Grebert from Austria. The second place won the film "Azerbaijan tour", directed by Fuad Guliyev from Azerbaijan, while the third place went to the film "Montenegro" in the production of the NTO of Montenegro. During the ceremonial ceremony, the award-winning directors Muhammad Ali Iaja and Craig Lison addressed the audience. The festival was closed by a member of the GMIFF Council Prince Nikola Petrovic, the president of the Petrovic Njegos Foundation.

The organizers of this year's festival are Danilovgrad Cultural Center, NGO Center for Multimedia Production (CEZAM), NGO Montenegin Universal Theater with the support of Danilovgrad Municipality, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism, Ministry of Finance and Agency for Environmental Protection.
