The Silence of the Earth

Berta Cáceres, Paulo Paulino Guajajara, and Aldo Zamora gave their lives defending the Earth. These environmental activists were brutally murdered in Latin America for standing up to the interests of large multinational corporations and their local allies. Who is behind these crimes, and why do they enjoy near-total impunity? What consequences does this violence have for the planet and the future of humanity?

The film raises these key questions by exploring the connections between economic interests, political power, and violence against environmental defenders, while highlighting the price individuals pay in the fight to protect nature and the rights of local communities.
