Ivana Vojinović

PRESIDENT OF THE GMIFF COUNCIL

Ivana Vojinović is General Director for Environment in the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism (Government of Montenegro) and Negotiator between Montenegro and the EU for Chapter 27-Environment and Climate Change.

After graduating from Faculty of Economics (University of Montenegro) in 2004, as one of the best students, in 2007 she received her Master of Science degree at the same faculty. Currently she is working on her PhD thesis.

Ivana Vojinović started her working career in 2004 at the Institute for Strategic Studies and Projections, where she was senior analyst for public finances until 2011. In 2009, the Parliament of Montenegro elected her as a member of Commission for the Prevention of Conflict of Interest, and that position she covered until 2014. On her current position, Deputy Minister/General Director for Environment, Government of Montenegro appointed her in 2011. In period 2013-2015 she was a member of the Board of Directors of JSC Adriatic Shipyard Bijela.

Since 2007, she is an associate on the University of Donja Gorica, until 2010 at the Faculty for International Economy, Finance and Business and since 2014 until today at the Faculty of Polytechnics.

Due to her outstanding contributions to strengthening bilateral relations between Montenegro and Republic of Italy in the area of environment, in 2013 President of the Republic of Italy awarded her with the highest recognition that can be awarded to a foreigner, the Order of Stella D’Italia. She received a Prize for the Best Manager in Public Administration in 2019, awarded by the Union of Employers of Montenegro.

In her so far working career she worked on about 50 projects in the area of economic research and projections and is an author of more than 20 professional papers published in national and international journals and proceedings.

She is fluent in English and excellent in Italian, with good understanding of French language.
