Adriano Espinola Filho

Born in Fortaleza, Ceará, Adriano graduated in Social Sciences from PUC in Rio de Janeiro. After spending three years living in England, where he studied film at the Futureworks School of Media and worked as a journalist for Jungle Drums magazine in London, he returned to Rio de Janeiro in 2009, where he began working in various audiovisual fields. As a director, he worked on a number of commercials for major companies such as Nike, Diageo, Coca-Cola and Unilever, until he began to dedicate himself to authorial projects. These include the short film Berenice, which won best film at two festivals (Hell de Janeiro 2018 and Festival Internacional do Audiovisual, 2016), the fictional TV series Pela Fechadura (13x27'), 2019, the short film 819 and the telefilm O Último Chão da Terra, 2024. Adriano is also dedicated to creating exhibitions using new technologies such as virtual reality and augmented reality, addressing themes that intersect anthropology, archaeology, politics and science communication.
