Because of the Bear

Because of the Bear tells a story that divides Slovak society and sparks media debates every year — the brown bear. Should it be regulated or continue to be protected by law? Where does its living space begin and end? The film follows the lives of people closely connected to this magnificent animal, exploring these dilemmas through the lens of social change. It is a deeply emotional and expert look at the relationship between humans and nature.
