In Eastern Serbia, in a town with a dual identity divided between magic and industry, a family whose destiny is tied to both worlds strives to preserve their culture. Dragan Marković, a lifelong miner, is the last in a line of dragon hunters, while his sister Desa, the widow of a former union leader, is trying to continue his fight for the rights of mining families.

Eluned Zoë Aiano is a director, editor, and translator with a background in visual anthropology. She focuses on Central and Eastern Europe. Her short animated documentary All Her Dying Lovers was screened at the Hot Docs festival and published on the New York Times Op-Docs platform. She participated in the IDFA Academy and several international residencies, including Wapping in Berlin and Pépinières Européennes de Création in Quebec. She is currently an artist in residence at the Aix-en-Provence Opera Festival.

Alesandra Tatić is a visual anthropologist based in France. Her research focuses on the Balkans and the Mediterranean, with a particular interest in feminist resistance, migration, and women's labor rights. She is the co-founder of the Wild Pear Arts collective. Her academic work has been published in numerous international journals. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Anthropology at EHESS in Paris.
