Adrian Replanski

Born in Argentina, Adrian Replanski graduated in film from a Canadian film school in Vancouver. In 2007, he wrote and directed his first feature film, "Fabrica de humo" ("Smoke Factory"). The film was showcased at several international festivals, including the 14th Rendezvous du Cinema Kuebecois et Francophone (Canada) and the Heart of England International Film Festival (England), where it was nominated for Best Foreign Film. His animated short film from 2010, "New Clocks for Lost Hours," won several awards at the 10th Cuban Festival of New Filmmakers and was selected for the official competition at the International Festival of New Latin American Cinema in 2010. After completing the short film "Portret brodoloma," he filmed "Zona," a reinterpretation of Andrei Tarkovsky's "Stalker," set in an abandoned industrial area in Cuba. In 2020, his science fiction short film "Teret B" won the first prize at the 48-hour film competition of the International Majorca Evolution Film Festival and a production grant from Palma Pictures. He is currently finishing his second climate-themed science fiction film, "Society."
