My Late Summer

My Late Summer is a comedy-drama about a young woman who arrives on a remote island to settle a family inheritance issue. Through a series of unforeseen events and emotional turmoil, Maja confronts questions from her past. The search for the inheritance evolves into a journey of self-discovery and forgiveness.

Danis Tanović is an award-winning Bosnian director and screenwriter. His debut film No Man’s Land (2001) won the Oscar and Golden Globe for Best Foreign Film, as well as the Best Screenplay award at Cannes Film Festival. His notable works include An Episode in the Life of an Iron Picker (Silver Bear, Berlinale 2013), Death in Sarajevo (Silver Bear – Grand Jury Prize and FIPRESCI Award, Berlinale 2016), and Circus Columbia (2010). Tanović is known for his strong authorial voice and stories deeply rooted in the socio-political context of the Balkans.
