Based on the novel Rebel in Belgrade by Gradimir Stojković, the film follows a boy, Gligorije Pecikoza Hajduk, who moves with his family from a small town to Belgrade, where he makes new friends and faces various challenges. Set in 1985, the story is told through the lens of childhood, focusing on growing up and adapting to a new environment.

Milan Todorović
Milan Todorović is a Serbian film director, producer, and writer known for directing international TV series such as The Librarians: The Next Chapter, The Outpost, The Ark, and Almost Paradise. A graduate of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts Belgrade, he founded Talking Wolf Productions in 2005 and gained international recognition with the horror feature Zone of the Dead (2009). He also directed the feature films Nymph and episodes of acclaimed Serbian series Besa and Debt to the Sea. Since 2015, he has been a professor at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts Belgrade and serves as program director of the Dead Lake Horror and Wine Festival. In 2025, he directed the feature film adaptation of Rebel in Belgrade u and produced The Return of Zika's Dynasty.
