At the end of June, the longest day of the year is celebrated across Scandinavia – a night when the sun does not set. After long winter months of darkness, the midnight sun illuminates the north of Europe. This documentary follows a journey through Finland, Norway, and Sweden starting from June 21, portraying people who confront light and darkness in different ways, as well as the plant and animal life that adapts to the challenges of the polar day – until the moment when the sun once again disappears beyond the horizon, bringing the long winter.
