This Year

This Year follows a personal journey in search of wilderness – a twelve-month exploration of the human place within nature, as part of it.
From May 2023 to April 2024, Zoë and Mickey met once a month, each time choosing a different location on the Dingle Peninsula in Ireland, their home, to capture the changing landscapes and their evolving relationship with the environment.
Committed to minimizing the project’s environmental impact, they traveled exclusively by foot, bicycle, bus, or hitchhiking. This mindful approach not only reduced pollution but also shaped unique perspectives and a deeper, co-directed creative process.
